Detectives Investigate Shooting Incident in Germantown

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting incident that occurred early this morning in Germantown.

In the early hours of March 8, at approximately 1:15 a.m., the Montgomery County Department of Police - Emergency Communications Center (911) received a call from an adult male victim stating that he had just been confronted by an unknown suspect who fired multiple shots at him from a handgun.  The victim stated he was not injured and the suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle.  There was no suspect description provided.

Officers from the 5th District responded to the area of the 12600 block of Wisteria Drive and Laurel Grove Terrace where the victim was located. The victim was unharmed.  Evidence was found and collected on the scene.

The preliminary investigation indicates this incident does not appear to be a random event.  The investigation remains active and ongoing.
