Detectives Investigate Theft of Purse in Germantown; Composite Sketch of Suspect Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District Investigative Section continue to investigate the March 8 theft of a purse that occurred inside a Germantown Starbucks coffee shop. Today, investigators are releasing a composite sketch of the female suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying her.

The investigation by detectives revealed that on Friday, March 8 at approximately 3:30 p.m., the adult female victim was inside the Starbucks coffee shop located at 13408 Kingsview Village Avenue when the suspect stole her purse and fled from the store. The suspect was last seen on foot in the 13300 block of Dovedale Way.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic female who is 5’ 5” tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. She has dark hair and was wearing a teal hoodie and blue jeans.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or this theft is asked to call the 5th District Investigative Section at 240-773-6237. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
