Silver Alert Issued for Missing Germantown Woman with Dementia (LOCATED)

Update: March 20, 2019 at 6:40 p.m. - Ms. Ballou has been located safe and unharmed and the Silver Alert has been canceled. 

The Montgomery County Department of Police is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Germantown woman who has dementia.  A Silver Alert has been activated for 74-year-old Mary Alice Ballou.

Ms. Ballou last spoke with a family member over the phone yesterday evening (Tuesday, March 19).  Family stated that Ms. Ballou had planned to leave her Crystal Rock Drive home early this morning and drive her 2014 silver Ford Fusion displaying Maryland tags: 4DG9794 to a family members home in Capitol Heights.  Ms. Ballou never arrived at the family member’s home and family has been unable to contact her.

Ms. Ballou is described as an African American female who is 5’10? tall, weighs 282 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding Mary Alice Ballou’s whereabouts or anyone who sees her vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1.
