Detectives Investigate Serious Vehicle Collision Involving Two Pedestrians in Rockville

For Immediate Release: Sunday, March 24, 2019

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police - Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a personal injury collision that occurred last night in Rockville involving two pedestrians and a Rockville Volunteer Fire Department vehicle.

Preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 9:30 p.m., a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado assigned to the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department, was traveling eastbound on Beall Avenue when, for reasons still under investigation,  it struck an adult male and adult female.

The woman was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.  The man was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado was being driven by Diane Evans, age 59, of Rockville.  She was not injured in the collision.

All facts and circumstances regarding this incident are being investigated.  This remains an active and ongoing investigation.  If anyone witnessed the collision or has additional information regarding this incident, they are asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
