Detectives Investigate Firearm Discharge in Fairland Area; Multiple Vehicles Struck by Gunfire

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating the discharge of a firearm that occurred on April 19 in a residential neighborhood in the Fairland area.   Several parked vehicles were struck by the gunfire and there were no reported injuries in this event.

On Friday, April 19th at approximately 11:50 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the 12300 block of Featherwood Drive for the report of the sounds of multiple gunshots.  Responding officers located several spent shell casings on Featherwood drive.  Officers further located several vehicles parked along Featherood drive which had been struck by the gunfire.

Detectives are urging anyone with information about this incident to call the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this crime.  Tipsters may remain anonymous.
