Detectives Investigate Homicide in Silver Spring

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division, are investigating the homicide of an adult male that occurred last night in Silver Spring.

On Wednesday, May 8 at approximately 10:55 p.m., 3rd District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a shopping center located at 8528 Piney Branch Road for the report of a dispute in the parking lot.  Responding officers located the victim in the parking lot of the shopping center suffering from apparent trauma to his body.   The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

This investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with information regarding this homicide is asked to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect.  Tipsters may remain anonymous.
