Detectives Investigate White Oak Convenience Store Armed Robbery; Surveillance Video of Suspect Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the April 27 armed robbery of a convenience store in White Oak. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Saturday, April 27th at approximately 11:54 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the M&BZ Convenience Mart inside The Enclave Silver Spring Apartments, located at 11235 Oak Leaf Drive for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect entered the store, displayed a weapon, and confronted the adult female clerk who was behind the counter. The suspect threatened the clerk and demanded cash from the register. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect stole currency and then fled.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or this armed robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
