Police Investigate Shooting Incident in Germantown

The Montgomery County Department of Police - 5th District Investigative Section, is investigating a shooting incident that occurred yesterday in Germantown.

On June 6th, at approximately 12:22 pm, the Emergency Communications Center (911) was notified of a shooting incident in the 12500 block of Wisteria Drive in Germantown.  It was reported that some type of altercation between two men had occurred leading one of the men to start shooting at the other.  Both victim and suspect fled the area on foot.

Responding officers and detectives from the 5th District found evidence that a shooting occurred but found that no one had been injured.  Preliminary investigation indicates this event was not random in nature.

Detectives are asking for the public's assistance to identify the parties to this incident.  Anyone with information should contact the 5th District Investigative Section at 240-773-6237.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or enter a tip online. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspect.  Tipsters may remain anonymous.
