Concern for Missing Wheaton Juvenile (LOCATED)

UPDATE:  Amen Alemu has been reunited with family - safe and sound.  Thanks to the community for helping us bring her home.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division are asking the public for help in locating a missing Wheaton juvenile.

Amen A. Alemu, age 14, was last seen by family on June 14 when she left her Shorefield Court home on foot.  Alemu is described as an African American female who is 5-feet-tall tall and weighs 100 pounds.  She has black hair and brown eyes.  Alemu was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket over a yellow shirt, pink pants, and orange Adidas tennis shoes.

Police and family are concerned for Alemu’s welfare.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Amen A. Alemu is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400 or the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24 hours).
