Detectives Investigate Bank Robbery in Gaithersburg; Surveillance Video of Suspect Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the June 8 robbery of a TD Bank in Gaithersburg.  Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Saturday, June 8, at approximately 1:28 p.m., 6th District officers responded to the TD Bank located at 15830 Shady Grove Road for the report of a robbery.  The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect approached a teller, passed a note, and announced the robbery.  The suspect demanded cash and implied that he was armed with a weapon.   The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of currency and fled from the bank.

Anyone with information about the suspect or this bank robbery is asked to contact the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
