Police Ask for Public’s Help to Identify Theft from Auto Suspects; Surveillance Video of Suspects Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Patrol Investigations Unit continue to investigate eight reports of thefts from vehicles that occurred in during the evening hours of June 1 into the early morning hours of June 2 in the Aspen Hill area.  Investigators believe that these thefts were committed by the same suspects.  Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of two suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

The following thefts from vehicles were reported to police:

  • 2600 block of Bel Pre Road – Two victims reported that a window to his/her car had been shattered and property had been stolen from inside his/her vehicle.
  • 3200 block of Bel Pre Road – Three victims reported that a window to his/her car had been shattered and property had been stolen from inside his/her vehicle.
  • 4700 block of West Frankfort Drive – Detectives reviewed home surveillance video which showed the suspects entering an unlocked car belonging to the victim at the address and steal property. The video victim further showed that the suspects attempted to enter another vehicle belonging to the victim, but the suspects were unsuccessful.
  • 14400 block of Brad Drive – The victim reported that suspects entered his/her unlocked vehicle and stole property.
Anyone with information regarding these suspects is asked to call the 4th District Patrol Investigations Unit at 240-773-5476. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
