Police Continue to Investigate Serious Pedestrian Hit and Run Collision in Rockville

The Montgomery County Department of Police - 1st District Traffic Unit continues to investigate a serious pedestrian hit-and-run collision that occurred on July 3 in Rockville.  Officers are asking anyone with information about the striking vehicle to come forward to the Department.

On July 3 at approximately 6:26 a.m., officers responded to a pedestrian-involved collision on Twinbrook Parkway at Dowgate Court.  Preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian was crossing northbound Twinbrook Parkway at Dowgate Court when he was struck by a vehicle.  The vehicle, described by a witness as a silver sedan, left the scene.

The pedestrian, identified as Jose Reyes Delcid, age 60, of Twinbrook Parkway in Rockville, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

1st District Traffic Unit officers are asking anyone who may have information about this collision or the striking vehicle to call them at 240-773-6070.
