Concern for Missing Silver Spring Man (LOCATED)

Update: July 12, 2019: Andrew Ankrom has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police-2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Silver Spring man.

Andrew Ankrom, age 27, of the 8600 block of 16th Street in Silver Spring, was last seen leaving his residence on foot on Wednesday, July 10, at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Ankrom needs medicine that he does not have with him and caretakers and police are concerned for his welfare.

Ankrom is described as an African American male, approximately 5’05” tall, and weighing approximately 185 pounds.  He has brown eyes and short black hair and wears glasses.  Ankrom was last seen wearing a red baseball hat, a red baseball jersey style shirt over a white shirt, red pants, and red shoes with rhinestone straps.  He was carrying a backpack that had “Tails” the fox (a character from Sonic the Hedgehog) on it.
