Concern for Missing Aspen Hill Area Woman with Dementia (LOCATED)

Update: July 20, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. - Katherine Getrouw has been located safe and unharmed. 

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 79-year-old Aspen Hill area woman who has dementia.

Katherine Getrouw, of Weeping Willow Drive, was last seen at approximately 10:00 yesterday evening (Friday, July 19) when she was dropped off by a family member at the Gallery Place - Chinatown Metro Station located at 630 H Street, Northwest, Washington, D.C.  Family reported that Ms. Getrouw has dementia.

Ms. Getrouw is described as an African American female who is 5’ 5” tall and weighs 130 pounds.  She has black hair and brown eyes.  Ms. Getrouw was last seen wearing a brown shirt, black pants, and carrying a white bag.
