Detectives Investigate Serious Pedestrian-Involved Collision in North Bethesda

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police - Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a serious collision involving a pedestrian that occurred this morning in North Bethesda.

This morning (Saturday, July 20), at approximately 10:09, 2nd District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the intersection of Tuckerman Lane and Kings Riding Way for the report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a 2015 Chevrolet Spark was traveling eastbound on Tuckerman Lane approaching Kings Riding Way.  The 31-year-old female pedestrian was attempting to cross Tuckerman Lane at Kings Riding Way.  For reasons still under investigation, the Spark and the pedestrian collided on Tuckerman Lane near Kings Riding Way.  The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Spark, identified as Chase Lawrence Dobler, age 27, of Corporate Boulevard in Rockville, was not injured in this collision.
