Detectives Investigate Serious Collision Involving Motorcycle in Clarksburg

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a serious collision involving a motorcyclist that occurred last night in Clarksburg.

On Friday, August 16, at approximately 10:47 p.m., 5th District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to Frederick Road (MD 355) near Comus Road for the report of a collision involving a motorcycle and vehicle.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the operator of a 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 400 motorcycle was traveling north on Frederick Road.  The driver of a 2013 Audi A4 was traveling south on Frederick Road.  For reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle and vehicle collided near Comus Road.

The motorcyclist, identified as Jeremy Cross, age 22, of Woodside Parkway in Silver Spring, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.  The driver of the Audi, identified as Natalie Weill, age 26, of Garrett Drive in Gaithersburg, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
