Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating the homicide of an 18-year-old male that occurred early this morning in the Fairland area.
On Saturday, August 17, at approximately 3:43 a.m., the Emergency Communications Center (911) received a call for the report of a shooting that had just occurred outside of a residence in the 14100 block of Angelton Terrace.
Responding officers located Damion Callery, Jr. deceased in his home. The initial investigation by detectives determined that Callery, Jr. encountered an armed suspect or suspects in the backyard of his residence and was shot. Callery, Jr.’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore where an autopsy will be conducted to determine Callery Jr.’s cause of death.
This investigation is ongoing. Detectives urge anyone with information regarding this homicide to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.
