Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Gaithersburg man.
Leonard Sweeney, age 28, was last seen by family at approximately 7:00 this morning (Sunday, August 18) when he left his Christopher Avenue home on foot.
Sweeney is described as an African American male who is 5’ 6” tall and weighs 145 pounds. He has black hair in braids and brown eyes. Sweeney was last seen wearing a black hoodie over a white T-shirt and dark gray cargo pants.
Police and family are concerned for Leonard Sweeney’s physical and emotional welfare.
