Detectives Investigate Silver Spring Area Beer and Wine Store Armed Robbery; Surveillance Video of Suspects Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the August 3 armed robbery of a beer and wine store in the Silver Spring area. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of two of the three suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

On Saturday, August 3, at approximately 10:40 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Spring Beer & Wine store located at 9330 Georgia Avenue for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that two suspects entered the store with their faces concealed and armed with handguns.  The suspects assaulted an adult male employee, stole an undisclosed amount of currency from the business, and fled in a dark-colored SUV which was being driven by the third suspect.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects or this armed robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
