Detectives Seek Public’s Help to Identify Montgomery Village Armed Robbery Suspects; Surveillance Photographs of Suspects Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 6th District Investigative Section continue to investigate the July 27 armed robbery of two residents that occurred on Ridgeline Drive in Montgomery Village.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance photographs of the two male suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

On July 27 at approximately 12:33 a.m., 6th District officers responded to the 10100 block of Ridgeline Drive for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. The adult male victim and the adult female victim stated to officers that they were walking on Ridgeline Drive when the two suspects confronted them. One suspect displayed a weapon, assaulted the male victim, and demanded cash.  The second suspect assaulted the female victim and stole her purse which contained the victim’s credit cards.  The suspects then fled the area.

Detectives later learned that the female victim’s credit cards had been used at the Shady Grove Metro Station located at 15903 Somerville Drive in Rockville and at multiple locations in Suitland, Maryland.

Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the suspects or this armed robbery to call the 6th District Investigative Section at 240-773-5770.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this felony crime.
