Concern for Missing Derwood Woman (LOCATED)

Update: 9/19/19 - Jy'Ara Thomas has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Derwood woman.

Jy'Ara Thomas, age 19, currently resides at a group home located on Lisa Drive in Derwood.  She was last seen by staff at approximately 3:30 am yesterday when she left the home and stated that she did not want to return.

Thomas is described as an African American female who is 5’ 1” tall and weighs 151 pounds.  She has long black hair and brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing a black tank top, black shorts, and a black scarf.

Thomas has friends and family who live in the Baltimore area.

Police are concerned for Thomas' welfare.
