Police Ask for Public’s Help to Identify Vandalism and Theft from Auto Suspects; Surveillance Video of Suspects Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Patrol Investigations Unit continue to investigate the June 11th vandalism to three vehicles which were parked in a parking garage in Downtown Silver Spring.  During one of the vandalisms, the suspects also stole property from inside one of the cars.  Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of three suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

On June 11th, at approximately 2:24 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Cameron Street Garage located at 8530 Cameron Street in Silver Spring for the report of vandalism to two vehicles.   The investigation by officers determined that all four tires had been slashed on both vehicles.  During the initial investigation, officers checked the parking garage and located a third vehicle with slashed tires.  The owner of the third vehicle eventually returned to his/her car while officers were still investigating the vandalisms and told the officers that property had also been stolen from inside the car.

Anyone with information regarding these suspects is asked to call the 3rd District Patrol Investigations Unit at 240-773-6830. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
