Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3^rd District Investigative Section continue to investigate the October 2 robbery of two juvenile females that occurred inside the Ellsworth Place mall in downtown Silver Spring. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the six female suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

On Wednesday, October 2, at approximately 3:23 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Ellsworth Place mall located at 8661 Colesville Road for the report of a robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives determined that a 16-year old female and a 17-year-old female were inside a fourth-floor mall restroom when they were confronted by the six suspects. The suspects began to assault the two victims and when the victims attempted to exit the bathroom, the suspects continued the assault and stole property from the victims. The suspects then fled from the mall.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects or this robbery is asked to call the 3^rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
