Concern for Two Missing Juveniles (LOCATED)

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, October 16, 2019

UPDATE: October 17, 2019 - Emily Darling Landaheta-Ruiz and Michelle Garcia have both been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Special Victims Investigations Division are asking the public for help in locating a missing juvenile from the North Kensington area and a missing juvenile from the Aspen Hill area.  Both juveniles are believed to be traveling together.

Emily Darling Landaheta-Ruiz, age 14, was last seen by family on Tuesday, October 15 at her Viers Mill Road home. Landaheta-Ruiz is described as a Hispanic female, 5' 5? tall and weighing 101 pounds.  She has brown eyes and long black hair.

Michelle Garcia, age 15, was last seen by family on Tuesday, October 15 at her Littleton Street home. Garcia is described as a Hispanic female, 5’1” tall and weighing 115 pounds. She has brown eyes and long black hair.

Investigators believe that Landaheta-Ruiz and Garcia may be traveling to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Police and family are concerned for Emily Darling Landaheta-Ruiz and Michelle Garcia’s welfare.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Emily Darling Landaheta-Ruiz or Michelle Garcia is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400 or the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24 hours).
