Detectives Investigate Commercial Burglary and Attempted Burglary in Downtown Silver Spring Believed to be Committed by Same Suspect; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section continue to investigate the September 17 burglary of the Children’s Hospital Foundation office and the attempted burglary of the National Ready Mixed Concrete office that both occurred in downtown Silver Spring and are believed to have been committed by the same suspect. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the male suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

The following is a summary of the two crimes that occurred on September 17th:

At approximately 12:15 a.m., the suspect attempted to force entry into the National Ready Mixed Concrete office located at 900 Spring Street.  The suspect was unable to gain entry into the building.

At approximately 1:27 a.m., the same suspect entered the Children’s Hospital Foundation office located at 801 Roeder Street and stole property.

Anyone with information regarding this suspect or these crimes is asked to call the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
