Detectives Investigate Domestic-Related Homicide in Montgomery Village

Major Crimes Division detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in a residence in Montgomery Village last night as a domestic-related homicide.

On Thursday, October 24, at approximately 9:58 p.m., 6th District offices responded to a home in the 10200 block of Wild Apple Circle for the report of a shooting.  Officers located two males, identified as Christopher Repp, age 43, and Michael Ewell, age 57, both suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in an upstairs bedroom.  Ewell was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.  Repp succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Ewell and Repp are father-in-law and son-in-law, respectively, and both reside in the home on Wild Apple Circle.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Ewell charging him with first-degree murder.
