Detectives Investigating Theft of Money from Convenience Store in Rockville; Surveillance Video of Suspect Released

Detectives from the 1st District are investigating the theft of over $2,500 from a 7-Eleven convenience store in Rockville.  The Police Department is releasing video surveillance and photographs of the suspect and is asking anyone with information about him to please call investigators.

On October 3 at approximately 10:09 a.m., the suspect walked into the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 1701 Rockville Pike.  The suspect walked to the rear of the store for a short time and then exited without purchasing anything.  After the suspect left, an employee realized that the suspect had entered an office area and had stolen cash from a desk drawer.

Investigators obtained video and photographs of the suspect from the store and a Metro station.

Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the suspect to call the 1st District Investigative Section at 240-773-6084.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this crime.
