Detectives Investigate Attempted Burglary of Gas Station in Derwood

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police - 1st District Investigative Section are investigating the attempted burglary of a gas station located in Derwood. Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the male suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

The investigation determined that on October 12 at approximately 3:25 a.m., the suspect attempted to gain entry to the Gulf Gas Station located at 15805 Frederick Road by attempting to break a store window.

Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding this suspect to call the 1st District Investigative Section at 240-773-6084. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this crime.
