Detectives Investigate a Commercial Burglary and Vandalism in Gaithersburg

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police-6th District are investigating the commercial burglary and vandalism of the Oakwood Apartment Building located at 9890 Washingtonian Boulevard in Gaithersburg. Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the male suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

The investigation determined that on November 15 at approximately 12:09 a.m., the suspect entered the vestibule of the apartment building and forced entry into the lobby via the secured front door. Once inside, the suspect forced entry into a storage room and pushed over a washer and dryer. The suspect also caused damage to an interior wall of the building.

Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding this suspect to call the 6th District Investigative Section at 240-773-5770. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this crime.
