Detectives Investigate Commercial Armed Robbery in Montgomery Village; Surveillance Video of Suspect Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the November 6 armed robbery of a Metro PCS cellular phone store in Montgomery Village.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

The investigation by detectives revealed that on November 6, at approximately 5:55 p.m., the suspect entered the Metro PCS store located at 9989 Montgomery Village Avenue.  The suspect approached an adult employee who was working behind the counter and displayed a knife. The suspect threatened the employee with the knife and demanded cash from the business.  The suspect stole currency and then fled.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or this armed robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
