Sobriety Checkpoint to be Conducted Tonight; Always Choose a Sober Driver

During the holiday season, there are many celebrations where people choose to drink alcohol.  The Montgomery County Department of Police is again reminding motorists to have a plan, drive responsibly, and choose a sober driver.

Tonight, December 19, members from the Holiday Alcohol Task Force along with additional officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint.

This enforcement is a component of the Department’s continuing effort to curb impaired driving and underage drinking.  In addition to the checkpoint, Holiday Alcohol Task Force members continue to devote their full-time and attention to detecting alcohol-related offenses.

The exact location of the checkpoint will not be disclosed in advance.
