Detectives Investigate Burglary of Starbucks in Downtown Silver Spring

Detectives from the 3rd District are investigating the December 12 burglary of the Starbucks coffee shop located at 8399 Colesville Road in downtown Silver Spring.  The Department is asking anyone with information about the suspect, to include those individuals who might have observed the suspect in the area before and/or after the burglary, to please come forward to the Police Department.

At approximately 8:46 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, the suspect, using a rock, broke the glass on the front door of the Starbucks.  He then went through the broken door and ransacked the business.  He stole a cash box with an undisclosed amount of cash and was seen leaving the coffee shop on foot.

Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the suspect to call the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this crime.
