Detectives Investigate Shooting in Fairland

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred this evening in Fairland.

On Sunday, December 22, at approximately 6:25 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (911) received multiple calls for the sound of shots fired in the area of the 2000 block of Treetop Lane.  First responders located a 28-year-old male on Treetop Lane suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates this incident does not appear to be a random event.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
