Detectives Investigate Gas Station Armed Robbery in Cloverly Area; Surveillance video of Suspect Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the December 5 armed robbery of a Sunoco gas station in the Cloverly area.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On December 5, at approximately 8:40 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the Sunoco gas station located at 13335 New Hampshire Avenue for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect entered the gas station with his face concealed and armed with a handgun.  The suspect approached an employee who was working behind the counter and demanded cash from the register.  The suspect stole cash from the business and fled.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or this armed robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
