Update: January 21, 2020 - Melverline Bing has been located safe and unharmed. Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3
rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Silver Spring woman.
Melverline Bing (who may also go by the name “Nettie”), age 83, of the 8800 block of Colesville Road, was last seen by family at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 9 when she left her residence on foot. Family has been unable to contact her since that time.
Bing is approximately 5’ 2? tall and weighs approximately 125 pounds. She has brown eyes and grey hair. Bing was last seen wearing a red beanie hat, a full-length brown coat, black pants, and white tennis shoes. She was also carrying a backpack with red straps and wearing a pin on her shirt with the words “Jesus Christ” written on the pin.
Police and family are concerned for Bing’s welfare.
