Concern for Missing Wheaton Teenager (LOCATED)

Update: January 15, 2020 - Cristal Nelly Tavara Samaniego has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division are asking the public for help in locating a missing teenage female from Wheaton.

Cristal Nelly Tavara Samaniego, age 15, of Georgian Way, was last seen by family on Friday, January 10 at approximately 8:00 A.M., when she was dropped off in the area of Albert Einstein High School located at 11135 Newport Mill Road in Kensington.

Tavara Samaniego is approximately 5?6? tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has long black hair and brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black winter jacket, and black boots.

Police and family are concerned for Cristal’s welfare.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Cristal Nelly Tavara Samaniego is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400 or the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24 hours).
