Detectives Investigate Robbery in Gaithersburg; Surveillance Photographs of Suspect Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police - 6th District Investigative Section continue to investigate the January 9 robbery of a 43-year-old female that occurred in Gaithersburg.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance photographs of the female suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying her.

On January 9, at approximately 9:35 p.m., the victim and suspect were passengers on a Ride On bus and were involved in a verbal dispute while on the bus.  The victim exited the bus on Contour Road at Tunstall Drive and the suspect followed the victim off the bus.  Once off the bus, the suspect assaulted the victim, stole the victim’s purse, and fled on foot.

Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
