Detectives Investigate Residential Burglary in Colesville Area; Home Surveillance Video of Suspect Released

Detectives from the 4th District are investigating a residential burglary that occurred on January 3 in the 500 block of Wolf Drive in Colesville.  The Department is releasing home video surveillance of the suspect and is asking for the public's help in identifying him.

On January 4, the victim returned to her residence and discovered that it had been burglarized while she had been out of town.  Video surveillance showed the suspect at the home on January 3 at approximately 9:22 p.m.  Officers discovered that the suspect had forced entry into the home via a back door.  The suspect ransacked the home and stole property.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call the 4th District Investigative Section at 240-773-5530.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
