Police Make Multiple Arrests in Silver Spring Home Invasion Attempt

Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police - 3rd District Central Business District Team (CBD) have made multiple arrests for an attempted home invasion robbery that occurred on January 23, 2020.

On January 23, officers responded to the 400 block of Pershing Drive in Silver Spring for the report of individuals attempting to break into a residence.  The adult male resident stated to 9-1-1 that he was inside of his residence and saw someone trying to break in through a basement window.

As officers arrived in the vicinity of the residence,  and observed a vehicle speeding away from the residence.  The tag to the vehicle had been spray painted black to avoid detection. Officers stopped the vehicle nearby.  The on-scene investigation revealed the occupants of the vehicle had a replica bb-gun pistol, duct tape, various tools, masks and gloves.  Additionally, marijuana was recovered from the vehicle as well.

Further investigation found the suspects were at the address on Pershing Drive with the intent to commit a home invasion robbery.  All were taken to the Central Processing Unit and charged accordingly.

The following individuals were arrested:

Innis Graham Sherper, age 18, of Kensington, MD

Kalvin David Gomez, age 17, of Silver Spring, MD  (Charged as an adult - no photo)

Raie Tsehaye Debalkew, age 20, of Silver Spring, MD

Frank Nicaise Kimbembe Jr, age 19, of Silver Spring, MD
