Concern for Missing Derwood Man with Alzheimer's (LOCATED)

The Montgomery County Department of Police is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Derwood man who has Alzheimer’s.



Howard Doyle Mayfield, age 76, was last seen at his Bowie Mill Road residence at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4.  Mayfield does not have access to a vehicle and left his home on foot.

Mayfield is described as approximately 5’8? tall, weighs approximately 165 pounds, and has brown eyes and short gray hair.   He has a short gray beard.  Mayfield may be wearing glasses.  He was last seen wearing black jeans, a multi-color sweater (green, gray, and white), white shoes, and a black hat.

Mayfield used to work in the L'Enfant Plaza area of Washington, D.C., and may be attempting to travel there.  Mayfield frequents McDonald's.  He is familiar with public transportation.
