Detectives Investigate Armed Robbery of Beer and Wine Store in Germantown; Surveillance Video of Suspect Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the February 22 armed robbery of a beer and wine store in Germantown. Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On February 22 at approximately 8:51 p.m., 5th District officers responded to the Middlebrook Discount Beer & Wine located at 19601 Frederick Road for a report of an armed robbery.  The investigation revealed that the suspect entered the store and approached an employee.  The suspect displayed a handgun that was in his waistband and demanded money.  The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

Anyone with information about the suspect or this armed robbery is asked to contact the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
