(LOCATED) Concern for Missing Wheaton Woman

Update March 13 - Janiya Couser has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Wheaton woman.

Janiya Couser, age 18, of Billman Lane was last seen on foot by friends at approximately 8:37 p.m. yesterday evening (Thursday, March 12) when she left the Target store located inside the Westfield Wheaton mall at 11160 Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton.

Couser is 5-foot-tall and weighs 105 pounds.  She has brown eyes and black hair.  Couser was last seen wearing a denim jacket with flowers on the back over a red shirt, blue jeans.

Police and family are concerned for Couser’s welfare.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Janiya Couser is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (available 24 hours).  Callers may remain anonymous.
