Detectives Investigate Shooting in White Oak

For Immediate Release: Saturday, March 28, 2020

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred yesterday afternoon in the 12300 block of Featherwood Drive in White Oak.  At this time, this incident does not appear to be random in nature.

At approximately 4:32 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (911) received multiple calls for the sound of shots fired in the area of Featherwood Drive and Treetop Lane.

Responding officers located an 18-year-old male in a parking lot on Featherwood Drive suffering from a gunshot wound.   The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.   Officers also located multiple shell casings in the area.

Investigators ask that anyone with information about this shooting or the identities of the suspect(s) contact the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.  Callers may remain anonymous.
