Officers Investigate Two Bicycle Thefts in Bethesda; Surveillance Video Released

Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District continue to investigate the two thefts of two bicycles that occurred on March 27 from a secured apartment building parking garage in Bethesda.  Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the male and female suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

On March 28, an adult male victim reported to police that on the previous day, his mountain bike had been stolen from a secured area of his St. Elmo Avenue apartment complex’s parking garage.  Officers reviewed surveillance video from the apartment building and observed the suspects stealing the bicycle at approximately 11:16 a.m. on Friday, March 27.  Surveillance video also revealed the suspects stealing a second bicycle from this secured area.  The owner of that second bicycle has not yet been located.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects or this theft is asked to call the 2nd District at 240-773-6700.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
