Third District officers have arrested and charged Angelo Theo, age 45, of Green Ash Court in Beltsville, and Staco Delson, age 27, of East Indian Spring Drive in Silver Spring, with offenses related to two separate incidents of thefts from vehicles that occurred early this morning in two separate areas of the 3rd District.

At approximately 1:19 this morning, 3rd District officers responded to the 3400 block of Kilkenny Street in the Calverton area for the report of a suspect stealing property from vehicles.  When officers arrived on Kilkenny Street, they observed the male suspect inside a vehicle looking for property.  Upon seeing the officers, the suspect fled on foot.  The suspect was arrested on Castleleigh Road after a brief foot pursuit and was identified as Theo.   Officers located multiple items on Theo that had been stolen from other vehicles in the area.  Officers also determined that Theo had an open warrant for theft from Prince George’s County.   Officers identified the owners of several of the stolen items and are working to identify the owners of the remaining stolen property.  Theo was transported to the Central Processing Unit where he was charged with theft-related offenses. Theo is being held on a $500 bond.

At approximately 2:36 this morning, 3rd District officers responded to the 9300 block of Ocala Street in the Silver Spring area for the report of a suspect stealing property from vehicles.  When officers arrived, they observed the suspect inside a vehicle looking for property.  Officers identified this suspect as Delson and immediately placed him under arrest.  Officers located property on Delson that they believe was stolen; detectives are working to locate the owners of that property.   Officers also determined that Delson had an open warrant for burglary from Montgomery County.  Delson was transported to the Central Processing Unit where he was charged with theft-related offenses.  Delson is being held on a $3,000 bond.

Third District Commander Darren Francke credits the residents of both neighborhoods with Theo’s and Delson’s swift arrests.  The residents immediately called police after observing suspicious activity which allowed officers to quickly respond to the incidents and arrest the suspects.
