Detectives Investigate Theft of $4,500 Worth of Tools from Construction Site in Bethesda; Surveillance Photographs of Suspect Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section continue to investigate the March 15 theft of tools that occurred at a commercial construction site in Bethesda.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance photographs of the male suspect and are asking for the public’s help to identify him.

The investigation by detectives determined that at 9:46 a.m. on Sunday, March 15, the suspect was observed on business surveillance video entering a construction site located at 7020 Arlington Road in Bethesda and stealing approximately $4,500 worth of construction tools from storage containers on the site.  Detectives further determined that at approximately 8:44 p.m. that evening, the same suspect returned to the construction site, but it does not appear that he stole any additional property before leaving again.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect is asked to call the 2nd District Patrol Investigative Section at 240-773-6710. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
