Detectives Investigate Armed Robbery of a Dunkin’ Donuts on Veirs Mill Road; Surveillance Video of Suspects Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the March 19 armed robbery of a Dunkin’ Donuts on Veirs Mill Road. Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the two male suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

On March 19 at approximately 5:00 a.m., 4th District officers responded to the Dunkin’ Donuts located at 12200 Veirs Mill Road for a report of an armed robbery.  The investigation by detectives determined that the suspects entered the store and approached an employee who was behind the counter.  One suspect vaulted the counter and ordered the employee to stay back while the second suspect leaned over the counter, threatened the employee with a screwdriver, and removed the cash drawer from the register.  The suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

Anyone with information about the suspects or this armed robbery is asked to contact the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
