Detectives Investigate Series of Vandalisms to Vehicles in Bethesda Area; Surveillance Video of Suspect Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Patrol Investigations Unit continue to investigate the vandalisms to fourteen parked vehicles in multiple neighborhoods in the Bethesda area.  These vandalisms occurred during the early morning hours of May 5 and investigators believe that this same suspect committed similar vandalisms to vehicles in the same neighborhoods in April. Today, investigators are releasing a surveillance video of the male suspect and the vehicle he was traveling in and are asking the public for help in identifying him.

On May 5, the following vandalisms to vehicles were reported:

  • Two vandalisms in the 7800 block of Glenbrook Road
  • Two vandalisms in the 7100 block of Clarden Road
  • 5900 block of Aberdeen Road
  • Two vandalisms in the 7800 block of Westfield Drive
  • Two vandalisms in the 550 block of Charlcote Road
  • 5700 block of Aberdeen Road
  • 5400 block of Goldsboro Road
  • 7800 block of Custer Road
  • 9400 block of Newbridge Drive
  • 5600 block of Northfield Road (April 7 surveillance video of suspect and May 5 still photograph of the suspect’s vehicle came from this area)
