Silver Alert Issued for Woman Missing from Poolesville (Located)

UPDATE (5/19/20, 2:35 am): Carol Cunius has been located safe and unharmed.  The Silver Alert has been cancelled.

The Montgomery County Department of Police is asking for the public’s help in locating a woman missing from Poolesville.  A Silver Alert has been activated for 86-year-old Carol Lee Cunius.  Cunius has Alzheimer's. 



Cunius, of Basye, Virginia, left her family member's home located on Hempstone Court in Poolesville at approximately 4:45 p.m. to drive to a nearby horse farm.  At 5:25 p.m., Cunius' family was able to track her cell phone to the area of Darnestown Road (Route 28) and Seneca Road (Route 118).  She has been unreachable since that time.

Cunius is driving a 2016 white Subaru Outback with Virginia plates: WRCLCU.

Cunius is described as approximately 5 feet 06 inches tall, weighs approximately 140 pounds, and has blue eyes and gray hair.  She wears glasses.

Anyone with information regarding Carol Lee Cunius' whereabouts or anyone who sees her vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1.
