Detectives Investigate Homicide in Germantown

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating the homicide of a 63-year-old male that occurred late yesterday morning in Germantown.  The victim is being identified as Edigio Ienzi of Duhart Court.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video and photographs of individuals who are persons of interest in Ienzi’s murder and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

On Thursday, July 23, at approximately 11:34 a.m., 5th District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a home on Duhart Court for the report of a stabbing that had just occurred.  First responders located Ienzi inside his home suffering from trauma to his body.  Ienzi was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Ienzi’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Baltimore where an autopsy will be conducted.
